Data Extraction and Synthesis

Mineral Resources engaged Mammoth to bring together GIS data from dozens of historical biodiversity studies, creating a consolidated dataset that could be used more easily across their work.

The project involved working through a large collection of historical studies, extracting the relevant spatial information and cleaning it up so that datasets from different projects could be brought together consistently. We standardised and consolidated the data into a single, structured collection focused on biodiversity and conservation priorities.

The result was a much more accessible source of spatial information, making it easier to understand what data was available, use it in new projects and support the organisation's environmental and regulatory work.
