Scaling up with Mergin Maps

BioCity

BioCity was undertaking a large-scale tree survey for a major roadworks project and needed a field workflow that could support the scale of the operation. Mammoth helped set up and deploy a Mergin Maps project, with training to get the team up and running in the field.

Scaling up tree surveys with Mergin Maps

BioCity is a consultancy providing specialist advice across urban greening. For a recent major roadworks project, the scale of the survey meant the team needed to approach field data collection differently.

Mammoth worked with BioCity to set up a Mergin Maps project designed around the survey requirements, giving the field team a practical way to collect and manage data across the project.

A field workflow built for scaler

We configured the Mergin Maps project and supporting QGIS workflow around the survey, then provided training to help the team get familiar with the new approach before heading into the field.

The workflow gave BioCity a consistent way to capture tree information and manage the resulting data, while making it easier to coordinate fieldwork across the project.
